Terms of service
These terms govern your use of TimeVault, operated by n-tec (operator of TimeVault). By creating an account, you accept them.
1. What TimeVault is
TimeVault is a web service that lets you create a digital memory vault: upload photos, videos, audio, documents, letters and journals; build a family tree; schedule future deliveries of content to people chosen by you; and chat with an AI agent called Eco about your own corpus.
The service is offered to people over 16 years of age, in any country. Uruguay is the operator's primary jurisdiction.
2. Account and access
To use TimeVault you need to create an account with a valid email. You are responsible for the security of your account: do not share your access credentials, magic links or passkeys with third parties. If you suspect unauthorized access, write to us immediately at dgarcia@n-tec.com.uy.
An account may have a "dead man's switch" mechanism configured for content delivery in case of incapacity or death. You are the one who defines heirs, validators and the check-in cadence. The operator assumes no responsibility for content that is not delivered due to incomplete configuration or unresponsive validators.
3. Your content
You retain intellectual property of all content you upload to your vault. By uploading it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, non-transferable license to store it, back it up, index it internally, and serve it to you or the people you authorize, while your account is active or until you exercise your right to deletion.
We do not use your content to train language models nor do we transfer it to third parties. The Eco agent accesses your corpus only in real time to answer your questions or generate content you request; it is not persisted beyond the ephemeral cache chunks of the Anthropic API (~5 minutes).
You warrant that the content you upload is yours or that you have the right to upload it. If we receive a credible claim of rights infringement, we may ask you to clarify or, as a last resort, suspend the disputed content.
4. Permitted use
You may not use TimeVault to:
- Upload illegal, defamatory content or content that violates third-party rights.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate other people.
- Distribute malware or attempt to compromise service security.
- Scrape, reverse engineer or make massive automated use.
- Resell, sublicense or charge third parties for access to your TimeVault account.
5. Plans and payments
TimeVault offers a free plan with limits on storage and use of the Eco agent. Paid plans expand those limits and enable additional features. Prices may change with at least 30 days notice by email; changes do not affect active subscriptions until renewal.
Refunds: we do not offer partial refund within a billed period. You can cancel renewal at any time and continue using the plan until the end of the period.
6. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings. When you do, your content is deleted within 30 days. You can download a complete copy (export ZIP with tree + JSON + media) beforehand from Settings.
We may suspend or close your account if you violate these terms, or if the account has been inactive for 24 months and you don't respond to notices. In that case we try to contact you by email at least three times before proceeding.
7. Warranty and liability
TimeVault is delivered "as is". We make reasonable efforts to preserve your content (backups, redundancy, encryption in transit and at rest), but we cannot guarantee zero data loss. We recommend you make periodic exports.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the changes are material (affecting your rights), we notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use after that date implies acceptance.
9. Jurisdiction and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay, without prejudice to consumer rights in your country of residence.
